Payment

The website allows a person (“user”) to place electronic orders ("order") for one or more products on offer as long as such products are available and not sold out.

A purchasing contract ("sale") between the user and Mirage Carpets & Lighting shall be complete only once a user has placed an order and the payment has been processed fully, meaning Mirage Carpets & Lighting has received and accepted the payment.

Orders

Accounts and Registration. You may need to register with us in order to use certain aspects of our Service. When you register for an account, you may be required to provide us with some information about yourself (such as your e-mail address or other contact information). You agree that the information you provide to us is accurate and that you will keep it accurate and up-to-date at all times. When you register, in many cases you will be asked to provide a password. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. If you have reason to believe that your account is no longer secure, then you must immediately notify us at info@miragecl.com.

Washing, cleaning and repairing services take 3 to 7 days depending on several factors: (i) The condition of the rug, (ii) the size of the rug, and (iii) weather conditions. Mirage Carpets & Lighting will not take responsibility for changes in the characteristics of the rug, including changes in the colours of the rug. Although not common, older rugs can be susceptible to changes in colour after washing. 

Cleaning Services

Items bought from Mirage Carpets & Lighting are non-refundable. We are happy to exchange hand woven rugs within 14 days of purchase on the prerequisite that the condition of the item has not changed. Please note that the customer will be liable for the shipping costs including both collection and delivery. You will have 7 days from purchase date to contact us about an exchange or incorrect order.

Returns & Exchanges

Please note that stock of all items on offer is limited, particularly our stock of handwoven rugs. Mirage Carpets will make all reasonable attempts to ensure that customers are notified when stock may be low on a particular item.

Availability

If payment fails due to the account not existing, insufficient funds, the credit card number or other information being incorrect etc. the purchase will not be successful. The above is dependent on the product being available.

For EFT payments kindly note the following:

  • The banking details are on the receipt

  • You have 24 hours to pay and send us proof of payment.

  • If you don't pay in time, we'll cancel the order on your behalf.

  • Orders placed after hours, on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next official business day.

If you wish to pay cash into the Mirage Carpets & Lighting bank account, the bank charges will be for your account. You will be required to make a further payment to cover the cost of a cash deposit fee.

Additionally, You may also come into any one of our branches or showrooms to pay cash-in-hand.

For payments made from outside of South Africa, please ensure that all bank charges are covered from your side. Mirage Carpets is not liable for bank charges incurred for international bank transfers.
